New to Darebin United or community football? This guide explains how to choose the right program, submit an Expression of Interest, understand trials and team placement, and complete registration when a place is offered.
Darebin United provides football opportunities from a player’s first experience through to junior and senior competition.
Before submitting an EOI, please review:
The Player EOI should collect enough information to help the club understand the player and the most appropriate pathway:
Please submit a separate EOI for each player. Medical information, identity documents, uniform sizing and payment are not required at the EOI stage.
After submitting, you should receive confirmation that the EOI has been recorded. The club will then review age-group demand, squad requirements, available coaches and any trial or selection requirements.
The next update may be a trial invitation, request for further information, team offer or waitlist advice. Please keep your contact details current and respond by any deadline shown in club communications.
An EOI does not register the player. Formal registration is required after a place has been offered.
Use the player’s year of birth and the club’s 2027 age-group table. A player’s school year does not always match their football age group.
No. Team places depend on player numbers, available coaches, squad capacity and any required trial or selection process.
You may provide relevant information, but the club cannot guarantee individual team or scheduling requests.
Payment is completed during formal registration after an offer or registration instruction has been issued.
Player Expressions of Interest open on Monday 24 August 2026.
