Defined volunteer roles for 2027

Our ongoing roles have clear responsibilities, a realistic time commitment, a named point of contact and a simple handover. The Volunteer Coordinator works across the whole club to match people with the right role or task.

Casual volunteer pool

Prefer a shorter commitment? Join our casual pool for ground marshalling, match-day setup and pack-down, canteen or BBQ shifts, club events, working bees, photography and content support, or equipment and uniform distribution.

Choose a commitment that works

• One-off: help at a single match day, event or working bee.
• Occasional: assist on selected match days or club activities.
• Regular: take on a defined weekly or seasonal role.
• Leadership: coordinate an area, project or working group.

What happens next

1. Tell us the roles or tasks that interest you, your skills and your availability.
2. A club representative contacts you for a short conversation.
3. We agree on the role, time commitment, support and point of contact.
4. You receive a position description, induction and handover material.
5. Required registration and safeguarding checks are completed before you start.

Roles involving junior participants or participant information require compliance with the club’s safeguarding requirements and may require a valid Working with Children Check and Play Football volunteer registration.
